Hey guys it's Sara here today from Just Cards By Sara... I wanted to share a project I have made for the DT call with this awesome company called ColourArte I just adore their products and use them on a lot of my Mixed Media Projects.. I am going to take you through a step by step process... Be sure to check this awesome company out ....
Here is the project I was trying to channel Finnabair because she is such a huge inspiration of mine... I have used four amazing products from ColourArte .... Primary Element Powders English Lavendar , Golden Jade, Black Cherry ... I have also used Silks colour in Solar Gold... Click on any of these product names and they will take you directly to the ColourArte Store...
- I started with a hard piece of chipboard and used a stencil-texture paste, some lace and cheesecloth to give me some texture
- I then started going through my stash of random metal that I had collected from my grandfather's garage... I added flowers, bling and pearls... to this I started adding random pieces like ringpull from a can, keys, nuts ,bolts, springs and even buckles anything I thought would look awesome when covered and sprayed....
- Once I have the arrangement I love I start going over with multiple coats of white gesso...
- After that I grabbed my Primary Elements from Colourarte in the colours named above and mixed them with a combination of water, alcohol and hairspray ... I place them in a spray bottle and shake the contents not to much... when I was done I had three different colour sprays ..
- I then took turns spraying till I was happy with the colour and how it all blended...
- Once I was done and had left it overnight to dry I took some Silks paints from ColourArte and went over all the items to make them pop off the page a bit more so they weren't so lost in one colourness lol... It gives it great dimension and texture... Keep adding your ColourArte spray until you are happy with it...
- My tag is now complete...
